I'm really enjoying it at West Ham. I think there have been a few clubs call up about taking me on loan but I'm not one of those who is calling my agent all the time to find out what is happening and ask if anything is going on. People sometimes think I'm not enjoying it as I'm not playing as much as I was last year at Charlton but I'm part of a great team and a great club who are doing well in the Premier League and the FA Cup.
I'm very, very happy here and happy to be a squad player for now and wait for my chance. If I need game time I play for the club's Under-21 side so it keeps me ticking over, get minutes under my belt and then I'll be ready should my chance come. I'm only 19 and there a lot of quality players in front of me but I'll just keep training and be prepared when I get my chance.
Quality wise it's been a big step up from Charlton but now I've got used to it. It was quite tough as a new player at the start but now I really feel part of it. The new strikers have been on fire.
I'm very close to Enner Valencia as he's from South America and we speak Spanish.
I also speak to Alex Song in Spanish, too. He's a fantastic person as well as a fantastic player. Although he plays in the same position as me and limits my chances I learn so much off him. When I watch the games I just watch him as that can only help me. He assists more than people think, has got a great pass on him and is so comfortable on the ball. He's a very important player for us."

Poyet wants to play that defensive role though, if his career so far is anything to go by. So it's Song and Noble (and Diarra when he signs) he's in competition with rather than Nolan imo.
Like with other young players, the club have to clear a space to give them an opportunity. If they think Poyet actually has a future, it would be a great time to sell Noble imo.

I can't help thinking that Nolan is stealing games off Poyet. Our first choice midfield should pick itself, and games here and there where Noble, Song or Kouyate are unavailable should be covered in my mind by Poyet. He wouldn't make any less of a contribution than Nolan, and what he'd learn from these games would be invaluable long-term.
Granted, Poyet may make the odd mistake, but that would be better than playing with 10 men, which is what we are basically doing with Nolan in the side.

He was always very highly thought off at Charlton Buzz, the team he was in was a very good crop for them. I think i saw him once in a youth cup tie vs Spurs.......didnt see much which impressed but good luck to the lad seems to have a bright future ahead providing he is not rotting on the bench or in the 21's

Agree with Farts. Love reading stuff like this, can only be positive.
Just wish he'd had more game time like against teams like Hull and Leciester when the games were done.

If he is as good as hid dad then we have a great player on our hands,needs game time and should be getting 20 mins here and there. Hang on I forgot we have the majestic KN in our midfield!

I meant to add that he is a nice lad as well, very encouraging to those around him when he has played in the U21 this season.

I agree he is an asset the club, but interesting that did not stand out at all in Youth team games when we played them at U14 - U18 games, in fact he was decidedly average - just goes to show that with the right management and opportunities and a few 1st team appearances under your belt your currency can rise.

I really hope he gets a chance next season.
Nolan and Noble aren't going to be around forever. Song and Amalfitano may leave, so there could well be some opportunities for him.
He seems like a kid with a great attitude and work ethic, which is brilliant to see.

Sounds like the right attitude. I wager he is learning more on the training ground from Song than he would be on loan somewhere.

I think he just needs to work on his strength a bit more. The PL is very physical with strong players who will barge you off the ball.
Alex Song is physically strong, can shield the ball and look to keep it. It would be excellent to see Poyet in a similar mould as he has good vision and passing ability already.
Very promising player but still has some growing to do.

Seems like he had a great work ethic. Great attitude. Can tell he'e been brought up by someone's played and involved in management professionally.

We may not all have the credentials of managers, but I think we all know full well that we should have seen more of him this season, even if just as a sub.
Unfortunately Sam's refusal to drop his favourites when they haven't been performing or even substitute them, will mean we won't know anymore about him before the seasons over.

Fantastic attitude...this should be the attitude of ALL young players. Stay loyal, train hard and wait your turn and the hardwork will pay off. Has the making of a great professional.
